ULTRA is an open source, decentralized blockchain project. It aims to provide a transaction protocol for any type of asset with a lexicon of shared data standards to which anyone can contribute.
This blockchain is being designed as a decentralized exchange on which a wide range of tokenized assets can be represented. They range from real and digital assets to bits of information called Specks.
Specks are analysed by Zeke, an emergent intelligence, and can be priced in Ven, a digital currency that is also a preferred base value for transactions in ULTRA. Unlike other blockchains, any asset represented in ULTRA can provide the energy for running a network transaction.
ULTRA is an open source initiative launched by Hub Culture in 2018. Initially it will provide identity verification for HubID (IOT, bot, human, hub and entity types), data storage for Specks used by Zeke, a blockchain for the Open Audit Initiative and a base layer for the RAIN and RAIL systems of exchange for fiat currency.
A blockchain is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked and secured using cryptography. Each block typically contains a hash pointer as a link to a previous block, a timestamp and transaction data. By design, blockchains are inherently resistant to modification of the data.
